The Antifan Girlfriend

By Paula T. Weiss

Narrated by Scott Ellis

Length: 30 hrs and 12 mins

Summary: It’s now 2089, several decades after civil war has divided America into a blue socialist dictatorship on the coasts, and the still-free red flyover country. The woke Diversity Justice Republic, a vassal state of China, uses a social credit system that doles out preferential access to food, housing, vacations, and transportation. High-credit elites live in luxury, while low-credit types live in dormitories and scramble for crumbs. “Plores”, or Deplorables, are segregated from Crediteers and are forced to do menial work to survive. Gun ownership and Christian preaching are now capital crimes. The American culture that we have known is gone.

Malia is illegally reading the dangerous old books she safeguards from the public as a librarian. She stumbles into a relationship with David, a powerful Antifan Defense Forces commander, whose own Deplorable background distances him from the woke culture. The Antifans push Malia into the orbit of sinister bureaucrats conducting lethal experiments on low Social Crediteers under direction from Beijing, even as they try to separate her from David.

This novel comes at precisely the right moment as we figure out what 2020 means for the future. The Antifan Girlfriend shows you what will happen after the left has used the pandemic to destroy freedom: Political polarization erupts into civil war, the Green New Deal is used by elites to grab stuff for themselves, pagan Earth Mother religion replaces Judeo-Christian traditions, and the US surrenders its status as a world power.

God and the Western World

By George H. Hayes

Narrated by Scott Ellis

Length: 17 hrs and 34 mins

Summary: This book was inspired by God. It brings God's activities on behalf of Earth's citizens from the shadows of history into illumination. God's mastery over the universe is brought to life from the Big Bang to modern times. A plausible theory is put forth regarding how God has employed his tools (only recently discovered but little understood by scientists), dark matter and dark energy, to create and sustain the universe as we know it.

God's book, this book, is a compliment to his Bible from which it differs in that, for today's intelligent humans, it explains how God advanced creation and evolution. After summarizing key portions of the Bible, this book focuses sequentially upon God's activities in Roman times, the Dark Ages, Medieval times, Renaissance times, Colonial times, and the rise of the United States through the big wars up to modern times. God led us through every period or we would not have reached these times as we are today. God used the West to advance the entire planet, as all Earth was afforded the opportunity to know Jesus Christ.

God's unseen struggles are summarized in the final chapter, but there are much more in depth presentations of God's tools, dark matter and dark energy, containing preliminary information on how to develop necessary communications to initiate their use by mankind to save Earth. God sees we are in imminent danger of flooding coastal areas worldwide because of the greenhouse gasses resulting from long over use of fossil fuels and subsequent melting of glaciers and icecaps. The author posits that by leading us through the millennia to our current level of understanding, and through this very book, God has prepared us to partner with him to save our civilization from devastation.

Puck and Minnie: All That Is - named 2021 Young Adult Fiction Audiobook of the Year by Audiobook Reviewer

Puck & Minnie: All That Is

By Suzanne J. Warfield

Narrated by Scott Ellis

Length: 4 hrs and 6 mins

Summary: It all begins a thousand years ago on the flats of Africa and follows a wolf-dog as he makes life-altering decisions not just for himself but for the human with whom he develops a bond. This union remains inviolable as Puck’s soul passes from one life to the next.

Puck’s story is as spiritual as it is terrestrial. His earthly visits are interwoven with returns to The Bridge and Azul, the latter a divinity who advises Puck but does not predetermine his actions - or his fate(s). Puck’s charge is to make good choices, something he fails to achieve when he kills a man who is attempting to harm “his” Minnie in one of her early manifestations. This death plagues Puck throughout his ensuing lives, and his heart cannot be made pure again until he atones for his misdeed.

Puck and Minnie offers a poignant view of fear’s role in fomenting hate, and my narrative shows love possible even under the most demanding of circumstances. It’s a story that may open your mind and soul to the possibilities of the question of what if the animals of this planet are indeed, divine beings here to teach and guide us into the heart of God, which we know as "All that Is"...and All That Is, is love.

Reviews:

  • “The narrator, Scott Ellis gives a strong performance. Ellis moves the story at a steady pace offering up intense and emotional moments as reflected in the story. As the dog – Puck – he is able to sound innocent; as the others in the story, his voices reflect their personalities and the situations clearly.

I do not like to cry. I usually go out of my way to avoid those sappy movies or books that pull at the audience’s heartstrings making the tears flow freely. However, this book is well worth the tears and heartache as the story and its ending are perfect!” - AudioBook Reviewer

Reviews:

  • In a world made up of werewolves, vampires, demons, satyrs and humans, hunting for a killer is not an easy task… The narrator, Scott Ellis was excellent….

  • Werewolves, vampires and the serial killer they are hunting down. That's a pretty good recipe for a book with a good narrator…

Summary: A string of mysterious murders rocks Birmingham, Alabama, in the pause-resister Jacqueline Willoughby. Will the two agents be able to follow the trail of the old book and find the killer responsible for these grisly murders? You'll have to listen to Jacqueline Willoughby to find out.

Reviews:

  • This is an interesting story that could be a great Book if the characters and story was longer. I believe a story of this length can not reach its full potential. The Author should consider the possibility of giving greater depth to not only the characters but the plot itself. The Narrator did a good job with the material and made the Audio book entertaining.

  • 'Jacqueline Willoughby' is a complicated short novella about a potential copy cat murderer. It felt to me like Randall was trying to do too much too quickly and that the story could have benefited from being elongated/expanded. Outside of that, the thrust of the story itself is compelling and the mystery is quite juicy. Scott Ellis provides a good narrative performance that kept me listening even though I wanted a more fleshed out story!

Reviews:

  • I love books like this and this one starts off with a great idea…The story is great. The action scenes are good. But you don't get attached to anyone in the book. You don't learn much about them just that they are surviving this EMP attack…Scott Ellis did a wonderful job reading this and I will listen to future works by him.

  • The narrator. on the other hand, is the reason I think I got so far into the story and kept listening. I've heard him in other books and yes he was better, but I won't count this one against him and I would listen to him again.

  • Absolutely LOVED this book!!! Got hooked right away and could not stop listening!!! The narrator, Scott Ellis was OUTSTANDING and made it SO EASY for me to have a picture of all the characters and really feel the intensity of the book!

This thrilling conclusion to The Whistleblower Saga jumps back in time 20 years to show you how it all began.... and the answers will surprise you!

Reviews:

  • The Whistleblower Trilogy is wonderful but leaves the reader with certain questions. This book, a complete stand alone thriller in it's own right, addresses these queries and provides a far deeper understanding of the characters involved. The author has been clever in giving us this prequel after the original series as, if read first, much of the mysteriousness of the earlier books would be lost. So potential readers/ listeners beware: do not read this until afterwards.

  • This is a good thriller, lots of action, well written dialogue and all is beautifully performed, as he always does, by the narrator, Scott Ellis. All of his voicings of individual characters, male and female, are distinctively different and appropriate and the text is read clearly, perfectly paced, with just the right tonal touch of emotion. He is a pleasure to hear: that the story is a good one is a bonus

  • Author Jim Heskett turns the clock back 20 years in this prequel to the Whistleblower trilogy. Tucker Candle is 12 years old and oblivious to the troublesome events set into motion by the man he believes to be his father. Tucker's mother will also find herself embroiled in the mess as she fights to ensure the safety of her son. A secret love affair and some surprising twists make this installment an exciting conclusion to the Whistleblower series.
Well written with a dash of humor, and superbly narrated by Scott Ellis, Strike the Match was an enjoyable listen.

Acoustic Shadows

By Patrick Kendrick

Narrated by Scott Ellis

Length: 12 hrs and 4 mins

Summary: A thriller that will take you on a heart-pounding, pulse-racing rollercoaster ride. Perfect for fans of James Patterson and Lee Child.

Erica Weisz, a new substitute teacher in the small town of Frosthaven, Florida, has a dangerous secret. When two gunmen attack the school where she works, it becomes impossible to keep the truth buried.

Wounded and running for her life, she must learn to trust the only person who can help her, Florida Department of Law Enforcement Agent Justin Thiery.

But Thiery has his own personal demons to overcome if he is to save Erica and find redemption for himself.

Review:

  • The narrator gives a very good performance with unique voices for each character. This is a fast paced story that benefits from Ellis' style.

  • This is the third or fourth audio book I've listened to utilizing Scott's talents. He is blessed with the ability to get the author's story across to his audience. Very listenable, a large range of believable voices. He develops excitement and drama appropriate to the books he chooses to interpret. Bottom line, he's very good at his chosen field!

  • To say that this story is one of constant action is almost to underestimate the fast paced excitement. But unlike many action thrillers which simply move swiftly from one incident filled scene to the next, Patrick Hendrick manages to infuse his various characters with solid, three dimensional life. This, of course, makes each harrowing attack, whether psychological or physical, that they endure so much more poignant and involving… The excellent characterizations are further enhanced by Scott Ellis's masterful performance. His voicing of each one is individual, distinct and pertinent to the person concerned. Hard to believe, sometimes, that this isn't a full cast but that he alone is reading

Can this group, plagued by their own insecurities and doubts, come together and use their incredible skills to save the world, or will the dark forces that set this disaster in motion prevail?

Reviews:

  • This book was a treat. Awesome disaster thriller book. Really enjoyed the story and the characters, the savants were awesome. Lots of drama with a good bit of political drama. Which was unexpected. Seems like it was pretty well researched. No clue if the science is accurate but it seemed to make sense. As always I really hate it when religion is brought up but it wasn't to much so I wasn't bothered to much.
The narrator did a really good job. Great performance.

  • It took me a couple of chapters to really get interested the story. It just didn’t pull me in at first. Once it did though I listened to it in one sitting. It is actually a very entertaining, engaging and interesting story. Great characters coupled with an intriguing plotline equals a really darn good book. Definitely worth your time.

  • Scott Ellis did a good job with the narration. Pleasant voice. Really good character voices. Clearly spoken with great delivery. He was able to bring the characters to life, especially the Savants. All around a very enjoyable listen.

Locked in at McMurdo Station for the winter season and thousands of miles from home, Brush is forced to solve this case as quickly as possible before enemies back home threaten those he cares most about.

Reviews:

  • I hated for it to end! Loved all the back stories. The narrator did an amazing job of portraying all of the different characters! This story really kept my attention. I listened to it every time I had a spare moment. I highly recommend this book and any books narrated by Scott Ellis.

  • If there were a test to determine if an audio book voice talent had their skills honed, this book may be the study guide. Wide range of voices? Scott has them. A sense of drama? Check. Add an easy to listen to and understandable voice and speech. Yep...

  • This is book 2 in "Andrew Brush" series. I didn't read the first book, so I'm not sure if it would of set this one up. There was plenty of action, suspense, evil humor and much much more. I did feel like there were too many characters to keep straight. The ending was a cliffhanger, so now I have to get ahold of the next book! The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Scott Ellis added a lot of excitement to the storytelling.

Dick Danks - Collected Stories

By Harris Tobias

Narrated by Scott Ellis

Length: 4 hrs and 30 mins

Summary: The name's Danks - Dick Danks - and if you think my name is amusing then you and I have nothing more to say. A man's got no more control over what his parents name him than he does over the weather. Danks is a proud old name in Scotland or somewhere, and I have nothing to make excuses for. I'm a private eye. Most days, I sit like a spider in its web waiting for the phone to ring. I wait for someone to hire me to investigate something for them. It gives me lots of time to think. Mostly, I think about what a mess I've made of my life, how I'm going to pay the rent, and what's for lunch - not necessarily in that order.

Reviews:

  • If you enjoy the detectives of old time radio you will love this book. The narration is great and you feel transported to a time before books were full of bad language and gore.

  • Dick Danks, ex-cop, thrown of the force for unspecified corruption and now filling his time, when not at the bar, being a private eye, a somewhat unsuccessful one, too, where collecting a fee is concerned. And yes, he has a thing about his name - who wouldn't when he's heard as many jokes about it as he has?
This is an book of seven deliciously wry and understated short stories, related by Danks, about individual cases. Although following a detective noire format, none of the cases described are normal - the book starts and concludes, for example, with deaths which occurred in teleportation development companies. All are easy listening and fun. But it is the character of Danks himself which shines through the dialogue and makes this book so enjoyable.
This is greatly assisted by the admirable, lilting and lazy voice of the narrator, Scott Ellis, whose reading breathes life into the P.I. to give his cases authenticity even when imagination is stretched. Delicious.
Overall, a great light read book, especially suited to listeners with limited time sessions as the separate stories can be completed reasonably quickly but still give a sense of satisfaction.

Reviews:

  • I loved this book for several reasons. It had all the elements I look for in a good storyline - that which brings out a myriad of emotions - that which not only entertains, but makes me think, reflect and feel grateful for my life.
I felt the Narrator did an outstanding job in bringing each character to life. Each character was uniquely distinctive, never leaving me guessing which character was speaking. The story never got slow moving, which is another thing I look for in a good book. I felt like I was right there!

  • Loved this book and absolutely loved the narrator!! His voices for the different characters were fantastic and I knew exactly who was talking before being told! Brought this story to life so wonderfully, I couldn't stop listening.. I want more from both this author and narrator!!
